Shelter is a super natural horror movie and very thrilling. The movie was directed by Mans Marlind. The plot presents some discoveries about multiple personalities and some patients that murder others. The doctor will try to find out the truth but ends up in really big danger. The movie was filmed in Pittsburgh in 2008 and was launched in 2010 in UK; meanwhile in USA it appeared in 2011.

Horror movie reviews consider the movie pretty disappointing and a part of the lack of success is because of the performance of the actors. Some critics say the scary movies could have been a really good one if the actors were better. In the end the movie is considered a pretty ridiculous one despite the fact the schizophrenia story was really interesting. The story of the movie was written by Michael Cooney which is a pro in dealing with murders and multiple personalities. A really good movie called Horror was written by the same person and it was a real success. It looks like the recipe of success is different every time and you need always to add or take out something.

In this movie, Cara is a mother with one single child, a girl and her husband died years ago leaving all the problems on her shoulders. The woman has a strong religion in her mind and the rules of religion are present everywhere around her, at home, at work and anywhere. All her beliefs are according to religion. Soon her religion and beliefs in God were strongly tested because she had to deal with criminals and metal sick people. She will have to deal with a schizophrenic person, David that is also in a wheel chair. She realizes he has multiple personalities too which is a challenge for her. When David hears the name Adam he will instantly turn personalities and have a totally different memory, manners, accent and in other words it becomes a totally different person. Cara is very attracted by this problem and she is trying to find out what can cause it and what would be its remedy. The story is interesting but it turned out very boring by presenting similar scenes one after another.

The schizophrenic character should have had two really opposite personalities, thing that people would have appreciated more. Cara will anyway try to find out the truth among science and religion. Before she will find out anything, her daughter is killed by Adam. The movie Shelter seems a lot to the movie called The ring. The mister is in the air every single time. Supernatural elements are also presented in both movies but they are both boring for exaggerating with supernatural elements.

Despite the bad acting, the idea of the movie is great and soon maybe, it could be remade with few changes and different actors, this thing happened with lots of movies and in the end they did turned out like being real successes. Anyway, Shelter has its fans too, especially the ones that love their actors no matter how they play.
